“Made by humans” is a creative house made up of film and image makers. They film, direct, sculpt images and sounds, to create anticipation, excitement and accentuate emotions. They take the viewer on a journey and then make them wonder. They are visual storytellers.
I have been commissioned to design the identity of this studio, the logotype, the stationary, the website and the photography for their branding.
The human hand is a symbol of creation and innovation. A hand illustration has been shaped using the negative space of the typography, reflecting the meaning of the name of “Made by humans”. Multiple hands, emphasising on the idea of collaboration, have been used to shape the pattern of the identity. Artworks have been created for various applications, including the website, using the slogans of the studio, “Exploring creativity” and “Ideas need the human touch”.

Why do you deserve to win?
I am proud of this piece because I challenged myself to create something new, something that I never tried before, shoot creative photography as part of an identity design. It gave me this opportunity to experiment and challenge my limits and try to find new effective ways to communicate the messages of the brief.
The feedback I received was really positive, people where really impressed by the way in which I approached the brief, as well as by the visual outcome. The identity attracted lots of attention by the experimental photography that has been used for the identity and the smart use of the negative space at the logotype. From my point of view, the simple straight forward, but effective, communication and design is what made this project successful.
