Greenbook (greenbook.co) is an app that helps travellers plan travels effortlessly by suggesting itineraries and connecting them to a knowledgeable traveller network.
This client approached me to help them improve their product and UX, which we will measure the success by sign up rates, growth rates and engagement rates. Greenbook also asked me to optimize the onboarding flow to communicate value and reduce bounce rates.
I delivered user stories, product roadmap, UX audit, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, user research and onboarding flow. In the process of making Greenbook 2.0, I worked with a UI Designer who developed the UI from my wireframes and audit.
Why do you deserve to win?
I started the project by understanding business goals, brand values, users and setting success metrics. Since the travel market is saturated, I helped Greenbook differentiate from competitors and find its USP. With research and competitor analysis, I provided insights into pain points and wishes of travellers in their travel planning journey.
This project was a success because I helped Greenbook solve these problems:
1. Low sign-up rates — My value-driven onboarding flow drives users to its core value quickly by having users select travellers they want to follow and prompting users to create a guide right away
2. Bad first impression due to clunky UX — I improved the UX with a UX audit of the existing product and provided UX feedback to the UI designer so that we can design all use cases and error states and create a seamless end-to-end customer journey
With lean user research, I learned first impressions of version 2.0 were very positive. Compared to the previous version, users created more guides and bookmarks, which means this project achieved its goals.
